Forty Bags in Forty Days Challenge
November 25, 2012

I didn't come up with this idea; of course I stumbled upon it on pinterest.com.  I'm posting the link here so it will make sense to everyone.  It's a fabulous way to declutter your nest, feed your trash can, and donate to those who can resell it, like Goodwill or ReStore or the Salvation Army.  Here's the link to the blogger:

I'm adding this to my retirement activities list as one item:  Number 10, but it will involve 40 actual days of action.

If you want to join the challenge (it's a self-challenge, not a competition), leave a comment and report on your progress.

Writing this blog causes me to feel younger by the day.  Tomorrow, back to reality and my real job, but I have certainly appreciated my 9 days of Thanksgiving vacation.

So let's get going:  go buy a big old box of trash bags and make a list of 40 places in your home that you could clear out, day by day.   I know that checking off each item on the list will be satisfying to all of us each day.  And I still haven't gone bowling.
